Cydar Medical Expands Cydar Maps® Solution: Driving Greater Efficiency and ROI Across Vascular Care and Beyond Aortic

Mar 10, 2026

Plan+ Features Extended Intelligent Image-Guided Procedure Planning, Supporting Safer, Faster Procedures and Stronger Operational Performance

CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom, Mar. 10, 2026 — Cydar Medical, a leader in cloud-based artificial intelligence solutions for endovascular surgery, today announced an expanded release of Cydar Maps®, further extending its trusted procedure planning and intra-operative navigation solution beyond aortic procedures to support a broader range of vascular interventions.

For more than a decade, Cydar Maps has transformed minimally invasive image guided endovascular surgery—helping hospitals and surgical teams deliver safer, more efficient, and more predictable outcomes. Recognized globally for precision, reliability, and workflow efficiency, Cydar Maps has become synonymous with intelligent image guidance in complex aortic and endovascular care.
With updated planning features and enhanced intra-operative guidance, Cydar Maps has improved functionality to better support existing customer use cases beyond aortic procedures expanding its operational value across vascular programs.

Plan+ Enables Adaptation for Complex Branched and Visceral Cases

At the core of this Cydar Maps enhancement is the ability to plan for complex cases involving multiple visceral branches.
Using advanced image analysis Plan+ adds:
  • Clear display of the patient’s vascular anatomy using enhanced visualizations
  • Powerful tools to assess and measure complex branched and visceral vessel cases using up to eight virtual guidewires
  • Dynamic modelling to allow deformation of the 3D patient map along any virtual wire to compensate for anatomical deformation and maintain accuracy of the overlay throughout the case

Plan+ extends Cydar Maps dynamic patient modelling tools to include multi-vessel branched anatomy. The result is an enhanced surgical planning map that supports faster, more confident clinical decision-making in the most complex aortic and visceral cases.

Efficiency and ROI in the Operating Room

The evolution of Plan+ further enhances the use of Cydar Maps in complex, visceral, and veinous cases. Cydar Maps continues to deliver measurable operational and financial impact for healthcare institutions:

  • Reduced Procedure Time: Streamlined visualization minimizes intraoperative adjustments, supporting improved productivity and case throughput
  • Lower Radiation Exposure: Enhanced image alignment during surgery reduces fluoroscopy reliance, improving safety for patients and staff
  • Optimized Imaging Resources: More precise preoperative planning may reduce repeat imaging and associated costs
  • Broader Case Coverage: Support for up to eight virtual guidewires, extending the impact of the Cydar Map technology
  • Consistency and Standardization: A unified digital planning solution promotes procedural consistency across teams and sites

This evolution positions Cydar Maps not only as a clinical tool—but as a strategic asset for hospitals seeking greater efficiency, reduced variability, and stronger ROI from advanced imaging and patient management technologies.

“Cydar Maps has already established itself as a standard in aortic procedure support,” states Paul Mussenden, CEO at Cydar Medical. “With this expansion and the introduction of Plan+, we are meeting the demand from our customers to be able to effectively support a broader range of vascular conditions while helping hospitals improve efficiency, safety, and return on technology investment.”
